ARTC National Track Safety Awareness/TLIF2080 Safely access rail corridor

Description |
This course is a mandatory requirement for all contractors working in Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) and Country Rail Networks (CRN) rail corridors. The course provides awareness of legal obligations, critical safety requirements, knowledge of a safe place, basic signalling indications, electrical safety and hazards that workers must be able to identify and deal with when conducting contracts inside the rail corridor. |

| Medical Requirements |
A compulsory Category 3 Medical (or higher) is required prior to entering the rail corridor. Approved Providers in the Grafton area are:

| Dress Requirements | Ankle length safety boots, long clothing (pants and shirt) and hi-visibility orange vest. (SCCRT can provide vest on loan). |
| Age Requirements |
Persons over the age of 17 years old. If an individual under the age of 17 wishes to attend this course, prior approval process can take 10 – 12 working days to be determined. Please contact SCCRT for further requirements. |

| Assessment |
Closed book Theory Assessment after training will be carried out, followed by: Practical Assessment onsite (one on one) with the Trainer. Participants must pass both to be deemed competent. |
Completion
|
On successful completion you will be issued with a: A Statement of Attainment for: TLIF2080 Safely Access the Rail Corridor This SoA and medical requires uploading to the Rail Industry Worker Onsite Track Easy System to receive your RIW card. NB: Please note from June 2019, Pegasus will no longer maintain the RIW service, instead will be handled by Metro Trains Australia (MTA). Please visit riw.net.au for more information. |
