Course Description	The *Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure* comprises 16 units of competence to be completed prior to issue of full certification. The *Rail Safety Act* and Rail Safety Legislation means all Rail Infrastructure personnel working within the rail sector must attain minimum competency standards prior to carrying out work within the rail corridor. This includes: Track Workers (installation and maintenance) Track Inspectors and Examiners Plant and Mobile Plant Operators The mandatory units applicable are: TLIB1028 Maintain and use hand tools TLID1001Shift materials using manual handling methods TLIE1003 Participate in workplace communications TLIF1001 Follow work health and safety procedures TLIF2010 Apply fatigue management strategies TLIU2008 Apply environmental procedures to rail infrastructure TLIB2085 Apply track fundamentals (ARTC JHG) TLIW2001 Operate under track protection rules
Pre-Requisite Requirements	The Unit of competence TLIF2080 Safely access the rail corridor is a prerequisite for this course Participants must provide evidence of successfully completing this unit prior to commence the course For further details click here for the RIW quick facts flyer
Cost	$400 per person (incl of GST) NB: Discounts can be offered for groups of 6 or more.
Duration	1-2 days depending on rail industry experience
Are you an experienced industry rail worker?	You may be eligible for *Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)* or *Recognition of Current Competence (RCC)* which by providing evidence of your work experience, previous training, references and/or other evidence you may be awarded individual units of competence, skill sets or qualification via a Gap Assessment Pathway. Requirements	Current RIW card (Evidence of successfully completing TLIC2080 Safely access the rail corridor) Must be able to read, speak, write and understand English
Age Requirements	Persons over the age of 18 years old.
Dress Requirements	Plain and casual dress, enclosed shoes (no singlets or thongs) PPE for practical assessments.
Location	Sydney SCCRT Training Centre, Unit 2/4 Brunker Road, Chullora 2190 Client's Premises On request we can train on client's premises. Parking	All day parking is available around the building complex.
Payment	Payment can be made on the day by Eftpos, cash (exact amount) or direct deposit.
Assessment	Participants will be required to pass a theory assessment.
