TLIB3102 Adjust Rail
Course Description
TLIB3102 Adjust Rail is a nationally recognised TLI32515 Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure Unit.
It includes identifying and determining the requirements for rail adjustment, undertaking rail adjustment, and completing all required documentation.
Whilst undertaking TLIB3102 Adjust Rail, participants will learn how to:
• Adjust continuous welded rail (CWR)
• Understand the fundamentals of why rail is adjusted/stressed
• Defect identification
• Understanding of Welded Track Stability Analysis (WTSA)
• Measuring alignment
• Rail creep control

Prices are available on application, dependent on participant numbers, location and the participants industry experience.
Duration
3 to 5 days, depending on participant's industry experience
Are you an experienced industry rail worker?
You may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Recognition of Current Competence (RCC) which by providing evidence of your work experience, previous training, references and/or other evidence you may be awarded individual units of competence, skill sets or qualification via a Gap Assessment Pathway.

Requirements and Pre-requisites
Pre-requisite's for TLIB3102 Adjust Rail are the following competencies listed below:
• TLIF0020 Safely access the rail corridor (formerly TLIF2080)
• TLIB1028 Maintain and use hand tools
• TLID1001 Shift materials safely using manual handling methods
• TLIE1003 Participate in basic workplace communications
• TLIF1001 Follow work health and safety procedures
• TLIF2010 Apply fatigue management strategies
• TLIB2085 Apply track fundamentals
• TLIU2008 Apply environmental procedures to rail infrastructure
• TLIB2092 Operate minor mechanical equipment
• TLIS2030 Carry out track ballasting
• TLIS2031 Install railway sleepers
• TLIS2044 Carry out rail installation
• TLIS2034 Install and repair rail fastening systems
Age Requirements
Persons over the age of 18 years old.
Dress Requirements
Plain and casual dress, enclosed shoes (no singlets or thongs)
PPE for practical assessments.

Client's Premises

TLIB3102 Adjust Rail assessment pathway is:
• Theory training and Written Assessment
• On Job Workbook completed with supporting in-field evidence documentation, video and photographic evidence
• Practical Assessment in-field
