Course Description
This course is for persons wanting a career in Rail Operations as a locomotive driver's assistant. Duties include assisting the driver with locomotive preparation, observing signals and hand signals from shunting staff. As well as being able to carry out shunting procedures, having good communication skills using radio equipment and being able to carry out train protection in emergencies.

Duration
10 working days (Monday to Friday).

• Cat 1 Medical
• RISI/RIW pre-requisite

Client's Premises

Parking
Free, all day parking is available around the building complex
Payment
Payment can be made on the first day of training by Eftpos, cash (exact amount) or direct deposit
Assessment
On completion of the theory component you will be issued an "On the Job Work Book" to complete the practical assessments in an operational workplace.
Facilitation is typically delivered by the Trainers in an experiential training situation by the companies' own Trainers.
